Vanessa Rouzier is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who has been working in the field of mental health for over 15 years. She is passionate about psychological health and strongly believes that there is a bidirectional relationship between work and personal wellbeing. Vanessa is also fascinated by group dynamics as she considers that it can have a significant impact on one’s psychological health and productivity at work.
Originally from Québec, Vanessa holds a master’s degree in the Science of Psychoeducation from Université de Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Université du Québec à Montréal. She has always had a diverse practice including teaching, coaching, supervision, individual and family therapy. She is able to offer services in both French and English.
Vanessa has 10 years of experience teaching students at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels. She likes to find ways to make scientific knowledge accessible and practical. Her teaching style is dynamic and interactive, leading to enhanced interest and understanding of the concept and tools taught.
Vanessa has also been a coach for an Employee Assistance Program for over 15 years. She continues to have the pleasure of supporting many workers with stress and anxiety management, work-life balance and harmony, work relationships, self-care, motivation, self-regulation, building resilience, and parenting skills.
Vanessa tries to live the balanced life she recommends to her clients. When she is not in session with clients or giving a talk, she especially enjoys running, rock climbing, yoga, walking, cooking, and spending time with her husband and their 2 daughters.
