The CSA National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health & Safety in the Workplace

CAN/CSA-Z1003-13/BNQ 9700-803/2013 – Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace is  a voluntary standard that specifies requirements for a documented and systematic approach to develop and sustain a psychologically healthy and safe workplace.

The Evolution of Workplace Mental Health in Canada: Research Report (2007-2017)

In this research report, Dr. Samra examines the evolution of Canadian workplace mental health policies and strategies from 2007-2017. Evolution was examined across several key thematic domains: Legal and Standards; Business; Education and Training; Media; Research; and Sector-Specific evolution.. These research findings were also incorporated into a book titled The Evolution of Workplace Mental Health in Canada: Toward a standard for psychological health and safety, authored by MyWorkplaceHealth consultant, Mary Ann Baynton, and her colleague Leanne Fournier.

Health Impact of Psychosocial Hazards at Work: An Overview (World Health Organization)

This review report focuses on the stress and health outcomes which arise from exposure to psychosocial risks in the workplace. Psychosocial hazards are defined by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in terms of the interactions among job content, work organisation and management, and other environmental and organizational conditions on one hand, and employees’ competences and needs on the other.
